Apple Inc., SanDisk Corp, Stryker Corp – By The Numbers

Notable Stocks Add comments

What happened today?   I looked at my portfolio around lunch-time, saw that it was up nicely, so I sat back in my chair, let off a quiet “Oh yeah” and then went on with my work thinking the gains were plentiful enough to finish the day in the green.   When I returned from my afternoon of meetings I couldn’t believe my eyes.   According to CNNMoney.com “stocks tumbled Wednesday afternoon, after influential analyst Richard X. Bove downgraded his rating on Wells Fargo, sparking a steep selloff in the banking sector.”   I wonder if this guy sits back in his chair and lets off a silent “Oh yeah” when he sees the results of his actions.

Of the 672 stocks analyzed on the down-day in the markets, 150 advanced, 514 declined, and the other 8 just sat back and watched the rest fall.   The numbers continue to state that at least three-quarters of the stocks are above their 50-day moving average, while almost 94% are above their 200-day.

What should you be watching for tomorrow…

Today’s report highlights all of the stocks that made a Bullish Moving Average Crossover with respect to MACD.
