Don: According to seasonal charts you have posted in the past, Natural Gas is due for a correction, which seems to have begun Thursday. http://www.seasonalcharts.com implies weakness until mid Feb. Is there a play here for “astute” investors? HND seems like a logical short term play. Thoughts? Happy new decade…

Hi DaddyO. Seasonality works because of a series of favourable annual recurring events. Outside of the period of seasonal strength, performance of the market or sector is random. Just confirming that the period of seasonal strength in natural gas ended last week. Playing the downside in natural gas from here based on random events is not recommended.

Hi Don.. In your Dec 24 report, you have the chart for the DJIA post-election years. From the sentence above the chart, I assume this is referring to 2010 and according to the seasonal charts web site 2010 is a mid term year and thus the chart is different.
Thanks for your great site. I use the seasonal analysis to help with timing of new entries. Also, since I write covered calls and puts, I use the seasonal timing to help with the strike prices and months for the options.
