    Bman/Van,
Re your post yesterday on Canadian financials. I see a triangle on the banks but also a potential head and shoulders top. (Emphasis on “potential”). In other words, I don’t see a clear trend.

Here is an old chart of Ron/BC’s to which I have added the triangle lines. Sorry, I don’t follow BNS.

  2. Bman/Van Says:

Thanks Paula. Appreciate your view given the potential technical setup. Feels like we might get resolution the technical in the next month as both setups are nearing then ends.

I traded ZEB.to awhile back right when Jamie Dimon said we were still going to have a banking crisis. I bailed out of ZEB.to and luckily made $68,lol. Still don’t like the chart pattern overall. Here is the chart again only a two year chart.

  4. Paula Says:

    Ron/BC,
I recall that you traded ZEB not that long ago and made some coffee money LOL Thanks for the longer term chart view. Always good to zoom out for a bigger perspective.
Of the Cdn banks, I think you did like TD but maybe that short term trade is over now. It seems to be trading in a narrow trading range, maybe waiting for something to happen?

  5. Ron/BC Says:

    Hey Paula

Here is a chart of TD.to with the ZEB.to overlaid to show relative performance.
“IF” price can clear 84 it should shoot up to 87 easily and quickly looking at the chart. The seasonal trend in June and July aren’t that great though. I’ve found the last year very choppy and unpredictable and tend to be glad I didn’t buy much of anything. Just bought a bunch more GICs at 4.80% so now I have most of my money in GICs and also in TFSAs. I just hope I haven’t put “too much money” in the TFSAs that I’m allowed or the feds will fine me 1% per month on the amount over done. I won’t say what I think of that……………………..
